Now, more than ever, we need positive voices in the ecological crisis. Join us, Malmesbury Climate Action Network, to see director Damon Gameau’s ‘exercise in fact-based dreaming’, 2040 on 19th February at 7pm. Using only the solutions that are available to us today Damon envisions a positive future for our children and planet.
The film takes a solutions-based approach to how we can, using the technology we already have, mitigate the enormous global issues we currently face. The main themes/solutions looked at in the film are around: empowerment of women and girls; marine regeneration; regenerative agriculture; renewable energy; and circular economy. It’s a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action.
You can watch the trailer here.
Following the screening, there will be a post-film community conversation with Malmesbury Climate Action Network, to discuss what’s happening locally and what actions you’d like to take. Please do join us.
Tickets are £5/screen. The fim is aimed at a broad audience so children and their families are welcome. If you’d like to watch the film but you think the cost of the ticket may be financially prohibitive, please do get in contact with us firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will be sent a link to watch the film via email, which will also contain the Zoom link to the post-film community conversation.
